Manheim Township Pre-K Counts

In partnership with Manheim Township School District, OHLA provides FREE full-day pre-kindergarten for eligible families. This program welcomes children who will be three or four years of age on or before August 31.

The Manheim Township Pre-K Counts program provides 180 days of instruction, following the Manheim Township School District calendar. Students attend the program for five and a half hours, Monday through Friday. They receive all materials and lunch at no cost to families. Transportation is the responsibility of the family. There is no busing offered for this program.

Pre-K Counts classes are staffed by PA State-certified early childhood teachers and qualified early-childhood teaching assistants. The PA Department of Education Office of Child Development and Early Learning. provides funding for the Pre-K Counts program.

Pre-K Counts Eligibility and Application

Manheim Township Pre-K Counts is now accepting enrollments for the 2024-2025 school year. To be eligible for the PA Pre-K Counts program, children and their guardians must meet the following requirements:

  1. Be residents of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
  2. Meet the income eligibility requirements of at or below 300% of the federal poverty level for their family size
  3. The child must be four years of age on or before August 31.
